| In Central Florida the Fishing opportunities are endless
from a small pond in each neighborhood to a ocean and the Gulf of Mexico
within 2 hours in either direction. There are also large chains of lakes
and rivers and streams. From freshwater to saltwater it seems a person
could fish for a lifetime and never touch the same body of water.
Well, it goes without saying that for every location of fishing,
there is also some great opportunities to do some fly fishing as well.
No matter where you go in Florida for Trophy Bass Fishing on some of
the big lakes or Redfish or Tarpon on Florida's East or West Coast.. fly
fishing is a great way to experience some of Central Florida's exciting fishing
adventures. We offer fly fishermen the same opportunities to catch fish
with us at any of our fishing destinations.
We are now offering fly
fishing for Barramundi, Australia's Snook
with Captain Randy. North America only Barramundi
Ponds located in Central Florida.
Freshwater Fly Fishing
Freshwater Fly Fishing in Orlando, Kissimmee and the Central Florida area
can be really exciting. Largemouth bass are really eager to please even
the most novice fly fisherman because this is not a customary
presentation to them. We recommend for freshwater to bring a five to eight weight
fly rod. although the Crappie and Bream will not put up to much fight on an
eight weight rod, you have to be ready for the large bass to take a sample of
your offering and it helps to have something you can put on it to turn it out of
the grass.
The best method, and flies in general for freshwater fly fishing in Florida
is poppers, small deceivers, and streamers. Our freshwater fish typically eat
other fish, and not to much on bugs. Floating line is usually preferred.
Saltwater Fly Fishing
Flats fishing in East
Central Florida
with a fly rod is incredible. An average depth of two feet, and an abundant
amount of water to wade in, hard sandy bottom and fish weighing as much as 30 to
50 pounds. Can you think of anything more fun than this?
Fishing the Flats
with a Fly rod, we recommend a six to ten weight rod. here you can expect to
catch Trout, and
Ladyfish which can be a lot of fun, but then you also have your
Snook, and
Redfish which will give you a great fight, however the pinnacle of
fish on the flats is the Tarpon. Even thought these are usually juvenile tarpon, and they
will range in size from ten to twenty five pounds, there is always a chance to
catch one that will tip the scales at fifty plus pounds. This is when you want
to make sure to have enough backing to play, because play he will. This is
what fishing is all about right here.
